Sometimes I need to dine out. Unfortunately my budget is tight. Being able to save a little money and get a good quality meal is truly a blessing and I appreciate Pok-e-Jo’s giving us a discount.

Dear Pok-e-jo’s,
I’m writing to make you aware of the truly pleasurable experience our office had with your restaurant.
When we first contacted your Hancock Center restaurant in Austin TX, they were very helpful in explaining pricing options and potential discounts. We opted to pick the food up ourselves, and the staff called the day before to verify what time we’d be there. On the designated day (Wednesday Dec. 16th), staff greeted us in front of the restaurant as we backed in our vehicle, prepared to load our order. They reviewed the entire order with us, verified everything was there, and carried it to our vehicle. We were pleasantly surprised to see that plenty of utensils, condiments, and even ice were included with our order. Later, everyone in our office thought the food was delicious and plentiful.
We will not hesitate to return to this Pok-e-jo’s restaurant any time we want to have a party catered, and will recommend it to friends and colleagues. Please take note of the extreme quality customer service your staff from the Hancock restaurant provided us, and pass our gratitude for a job well done to this dedicated and friendly group of people. Thank you for helping make our catered party a pleasure for everyone involved.

I moved to Austin in 1979 when I landed a job with UTs Applied Research Labs. ARL was just down Burnet from the original location. The original location quickly became one of our favorite places to take lunch. I still remember things like the back yard horse shoes and the fact you sold fries as a side with BBQ which I thought was very strange but yummy. I think between IBM and UTs research center we kept you alive and kicking since the original store at that time was basically in the middle of nowhere way out of Austin so it seemed. I have felt lucky ever since to be somehow linked to the company. At one point I even lived within a couple blocks of one location. Now my son is working for you while he attends collage. I expect to be coming by to eat again tonight and even though I miss the back yard feel I am sure the flavor and service we came to love and enjoy 30 years ago will still be there.
