Special Food Profile: Fajitas
8/5/2011
When people think of Pok-e-Jo's, and barbecue restaurants in general, the first thing that jumps into their head is certainly not fajitas. So when people hear that we do fajitas, and that our fajitas are really good, they may be surprised. Well this blog post is here to save you from that surprise, and hopefully will convince you to give our fajitas a chance for your next event or catered lunch. To the left here, you can see what the end of a typical Pok-e-Jo's fajita buffet looks like: tortillas, spicy borracho beans, Spanish rice, and fajita meat with delicious smoked onions and peppers.
We don't just stop at the meat, though. The Pok-e-Jo's fajita experience can even bring you chips, chile con queso, fresh guacamole, and salsa. We make the chips and the guacamole in house, you can definitely tell when you bite into it.
We can't describe our fajita meat any better than we do on our full service catering menu, so read this and you should get the gist of fajitas from Pok-e-Jo's:
"These are fajitas better than anything you’ve ever tasted before. We create a one-of-a-kind marinade with tangy soy sauce, tart lemon juice and our secret, special blend of south-of-the-border seasonings. Then we throw in beautiful butterflied sirloin and plump pieces of chicken and let em’ mingle for a bit before smoking the whole mess for a couple of hours. Truly an original."
